Bengaluru, 9 December 2025:
The Chief Commissioner of the Greater Bangalore Authority (GBA), Mr. Maheswara Rao, visited Kasturinagar Layout on the morning of 9 December 2025, as a follow-up to his earlier inspection on 23 July 2025. During the visit, he inspected several key locations and issued instructions to officials regarding ongoing civic issues, development works, and upcoming urban improvement initiatives.

The major points of review included:

1. Under-flyover Cleaning and Beautification Project
   Inspection of cleanliness measures and beautification works under the flyover.

2. Desilting of Benniganahalli Northern Lake & Rajakaluve
   Review of the desilting progress from 2nd Main Road up to the Ring Road under the flyover, along with instructions to complete the retaining wall on the service road side.

3. Utilisation of Vacant SAFAL Land
   Directions to ensure proper and planned utilisation of the unused land near SAFAL.

4. Retaining Wall & Cleaning Works from 2H Main to Rajakaluve (Opp. Cuppa)
   Assessment of cleaning needs and retaining wall construction requirements.

5. Ward Office Park Cleaning & Beautification
   Emphasis on maintaining the park area near the ward office.

6. Widening and Beautification of 1st Main Road / Traffic Management at Vivekananda Park
   Review of congestion points and beautification proposals.

7. Improvements at Kasturinagar East (Next to BWSSB Office)
   Plans discussed for beautifying vacant land and improving traffic flow near the railway underpass close to Puravankara Apartments.

8. Presentation of “Vision Kasturinagar”
   A detailed presentation was given by Arun Madam and Nikita Madam from the Urban Remapping Team, focusing on local area beautification and traffic management improvements.
   The vision aims to transform Kasturinagar into a “Model Layout”, considering the upcoming suburban rail and Metro stations in the locality.

The Kasturinagar Welfare Association (KWA) welcomed the Chief Commissioner with a bouquet and expressed their gratitude to him, the GBA team, government officials, the CEO and team of Ugly India, and all supporting departments for ensuring a successful visit.

The Urban Revamp Team was also appreciated for hosting a warm breakfast for the officials and participants.
