On November 1st, KWA celebrated the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava Day at its premises with great enthusiasm and pride.
The celebration began with the flag hoisting by the KWA President, followed by melodious Kannada bhavageethe performances by the Kalanandana members. Somashekar Sir, KWA Secretary, welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the event.
During the program, Rudrayya Sir shared interesting information about the late Ramamurthy Sir, the inventor of the twin-colour Kannada flag, in whose honour Ramamurthy Nagar was named.
As part of the event, KWA felicitated three individuals — Shri Ramanath Rao, Murugan Sir, and Ramu Sir — for their commendable contributions to environmental development work. Both the KMS President and the KWA President addressed the gathering, appreciating the spirit of Kannada unity and community service.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Navaneetha Rao, Treasurer, followed by a delightful breakfast.
It was a well-attended and successful event. Heartfelt thanks to all KWA and KMS members, and well-wishers who contributed to making the celebration a grand success.
