On 15th August 2025, KWA celebrated the 79th Independence Day at its premises with great enthusiasm. The event began with the flag hoisting by KWA President, Smt. Nora Menezes, followed by patriotic songs presented by KMS members. The celebration concluded with a delightful breakfast.

Following the Independence Day program, the KWA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held. Smt. Nora Menezes, KWA President, and Shri Somashekar P., KWA Secretary, presided over the meeting. The event was attended by other executive committee members and a large number of KWA members, who actively participated in the proceedings.

Shri Navanitha Rao, KWA Treasurer, presented the financial statements for the year 2024–25. Members raised questions regarding various issues, to which the KWA President responded in her address. She also expressed her gratitude to Shri Abhijit and the Kasturinagar Lake Rescue team for their efforts in developing B. Channasandra Lake (Kasturinagar Sorovar), including rejuvenation work, proper fencing, and other improvements.

The program was compered by Smt. Latha, who also delivered the vote of thanks. The gathering concluded with a sumptuous lunch. The event saw excellent participation, and KWA extends its heartfelt thanks to all members for making the program a grand success.
